The timing per question is the essentially the same: 2 minutes per Quant question and 1m48s per Verbal question.
Note that GMAC has not changed how your score is calculated, so don’t be misled by the question type ratio above. They have merely subtracted a few experimental questions but kept the number of scored questions. So a smaller number of SC questions does not mean you need to pay less attention to SC. In fact you need to pay more attention to SC, since it has a greater weight over fewer questions. The reason there are so few SC questions now is that it's much easier to make SC questions than it is to make CR or RC questions, so they don’t need to include as many experimental SC questions.
