Seeking The Best Private GRE Tutor?

You've come to the right place.

We can meet in my spaces in SF and East Bay,
I can drive anywhere in the Bay Area,
Or we can meet via webcam.
why me ?

Picture
Hi! My name is Josh.  I will help you raise your score to the level required by the graduate schools of your choice.  With my service you get someone more qualified than a mass-production GRE prep company tutor at a fraction of the cost.  Plus I am more highly incentivized to help you succeed because I am not working for a company that takes 70% of what you are being billed for.  I have a decade of private tutoring and classroom teaching experience, so I'm not an instructor who only knows the content but not how to communicate it.  In fact, Chicago Public Schools hired me to design the curricula for Algebra, Trigonometry, Precalculus, and AP Calculus (my syllabus being approved by the College Board).
No matter where you are in the spectrum, I will help you move up in a friendly, supportive, and patient way!

Credentials
-Perfect GRE Quant score, first try
-99th percentile GMAT and GRE scores, first try
-Proofread economic models for Booth School of Business
-Education Consultant for Chicago Public Schools
-Math Degree, University of Chicago
-Designed College Board-approved AP Calculus Syllabus
-Taught Honors and AP Calculus in a classroom setting
-ISACS New Teacher Institute Certified

I have all the materials you need to get started, and as we move forward I will help you get whatever else you need.

For a rough idea of how long you will want to work with me, based on your total current and target scores:
287 --> 303 10-20 hours
303 --> 318 15-25 hours
318 --> 326 6-12 hours
326 --> 331 5-10 hours
331 --> 336 5-10 hours
303 --> 331 25-45 hours

(For reference,
an average (50th %ile) score is around 303, a 318 is 78th %ile, 95th %ile is around 333, 97th is 336. Note that the higher end of the score spectrum is "dense"--It takes longer to raise your score by a given amount here than it does for lower scores.)

Average score (say 303) to top 5% (about 30 points): 20-35 hours with me in addition to time spent studying alone (1-2 hours for every hour spent with me).
Top 5% to Top 3%, around 10 hours.  If you are at the 318 level and want to get to the top 1%, you can expect to spend 20-35 hours with me.
It takes a few lessons for you to see your score increase with me, but if you are consistent in your efforts you will definitely notice the difference.
By the way, all of these numbers are tiny compared to the difference in lifetime earnings and the cost of earning your graduate degree from a high caliber program (in terms of time, money, effort), maybe 5%.
