Qualifications:
- Official GMAT 99th %ile score in Verbal section you will teach or Quant score of 50
- Official GMAT Enhanced Score Report
- Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, or other related fields (especially full-time private tutors)
- U.S Citizen/Permanent Resident
- Age >23
- Disciplined self-starter and follows productive instructions
- Confident and instills confidence in students
- Good person, humble, relatable
- Articulate spoken and written communicator
- Passionate about education and cares about students.
Priority Candidates:
- Scored 51 in section you will teach (Quant, SC, CR, or RC)
- Multi-year engagement (seeking career partners)
- Overall GMAT Score in 99th %ile
- Set a positive example for students (regular exercise, healthy sleep and diet)
Responsibilities:
- No major trips or unavailability of more than 1 week at a time in June-January, totaling no more than 3 weeks for the entire period
- Minimum 1 year commitment of 20+ hours per week (primarily evenings/weekends, some morning/afternoon)
- Teach some students in your home (professional environment, clean, quiet, ideally no roommates unless they are quiet and will respect your work) and some online (need fast internet connection)
- Respond by text without significant delay (a few hours max), and ready to grab the work when it appears. First-come first-served.
- Must sign a noncompete and an NDA
- Devote 20+ hours per week to teaching/TPU-related work
- Build rapport with students
- Diplomatically direct the flow of the lesson in an efficient manner.
- Update and implement lesson plans at varying academic levels
- Establish academic goals and milestones with students
- Document and communicate progress reports
- Provide constructive feedback for students
